Strom made me look good. This work stoppage came up very quickly, and they were able to turn around on a dime and get the replacements in within two days. Our local facility was initially quite resistant to bringing in “outsiders,” as they may not “fit in” from a cultural standpoint. This concern quickly evaporated and the general manager observed that, in many instances, the Strom employees were superior to (the union) workforce. Because we were able to ramp up quickly on production and quality, it sent the right signals to both customers and employees.

On behalf of my company, we want to thank you for the excellent job that Strom Engineering provided during our labor disruption. Strom’s expertise and advice were essential in establishing a detailed contingency plan to protect our customers. Unfortunately, we were forced to enact the contingency plan, but we were able to execute the plan with confidence and precision. The onsite Strom Team demonstrated both urgency and dedication to supporting our operations. This professional problem-solving methodology was quite conducive to our management style and made for a strong partnership. The staff at Strom provided great support during our contract negotiations. Strom staff visited our operation multiple times to understand the process and needs in the event of a work stoppage. At the same time, Strom staff educated our management team on the NLRA issues related to the negotiating process. I felt that we were ready to continue operation of the facility in the event of a labor strike. The preparation gave the negotiating team the confidence to successfully work through several difficult issues during the contract negotiations. Strom’s partnership played a significant role in that confidence.
