Read about John's leadership philosophy for the Strom Companies. John has been with the company for over 27 years. He determines the strategic direction of the company and has been actively involved with the executive planning, operational implementation and management of many potential and actual strikes at hundreds of clients.

In 1991, John was instrumental in developing a new line of services with a dramatic shift into the support of clients experiencing and preparing for labor disputes. Strom expanded into consulting and full-service project management and has become the respected leader in labor dispute contingency planning and temporary workforce placement and management.

John is a registered federal lobbyist, and currently serves on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Labor Relations Committee. He is involved in many community fundraising and philanthropic activities, and serves as chair for several community, church, and school organizations. He is the President Emeritus of the Twin Cities chapter of Legatus and serves on the Board of Directors of Holy Family Catholic High School in Victoria, MN.

Jim is a nearly ten-year veteran of the company. He is responsible for all activities within all divisions of Strom, as well as heading the activities for two other corporations under the organizational umbrella.

Since 2004, Jim has had direct client and project responsibility over an array of assessments, deployments, and consulting projects. Working within the areas of manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, chemical manufacturing, governments, quasi-government, education, health care services, utilities, mining, heavy industries and related fields, Jim has headed the teams for hundreds of successful studies, projects, and deployments.

Jim has a team of consultants, analysts, logisticians, engineers, engineering resources, specialists, as well as administrative personnel to draw upon to insure client needs are answered quickly and efficiently.

Jim is also involved in CIP projects across North America.

Timothy Lund

Tim has been with the company nearly 20 years. Aside from being our internal Counsel, he is also a CPA. Tim is responsible for all financial reporting and legal oversight for all Strom companies. When not in the office, you can probably find Tim on a soccer field.

Ryan Bash

Ryan was promoted to Vice President of Consulting in 2008 after proving his prowess as our National Consulting Manager for nearly 4 years prior with the company. Ryan and his team are responsible for the planning, documentation, analysis, and scope definition of most projects.

Ryan has successfully led the study and results portion of projects for over 100 client-projects since December of 2008. Additionally, Ryan and his team are responsible for developing, presenting, and delivering training curriculum to clients across North America. Ryan and his staff have developed, authored, and phase implemented scores of contingency plan PlayBooks.

Jason Hans

Jason has been with the company for nearly 15 years, and promoted to Vice President in 2006. Jason leads the Field Operations team, which is responsible for all “on the ground” contact with clients. Jason has led the assessment portion of studies and projects for nearly 500 clients in recent years. With years of engineering experience, as well as client-specific experience, there is little Jason has not seen during an assessment.

Jason maintains a dynamic team of specialists who also have cross-discipline responsibility. So far, in 2011, Jason and his team have gathered data for over 100 assessment studies.

Mike Johnson

Mike has been with the firm for 6 years, and took on his current role in 2007. Mike is a well-rounded and well-trained individual whose expertise runs from IT to Logistics. Mike’s specialty as part of the assessment team is studying unique equipment, positions and facilities.

Not your typical engineer, Mike is engaging and personable, and provides thoughtful insights to processes and methodology, and is considered by clients to be an excellent troubleshooter of difficult field-based issues. Mike also works very closely with our local and national recruiting teams, specifying exact skill sets, quantities of personnel, and ranges of experience of needed individuals for clients who utilize our contract engineering services and managed workforces.

Since leaving the Navy with an Honorable Discharge where he served on board war ships as part of their damage control and firefighting teams, Gary has dedicated his career to safety and security. Gary joined the company over 2 years ago, and quickly assumed the National Safety Manager position. Gary is involved both on-site and behind the scenes on every assessment and labor study. Gary analyzes individual tasks performed by personnel with an eye to safety and training.

Gary and his team are responsible for many areas and segments of projects. He and his team are responsible for developing and delivering the right training to employees who we deliver to those clients who utilize our contract engineering services and managed workforces. Additionally, he is responsible for assuring the proper licensing, drug testing, background checking, and related items for all of our field employees who work on client sites.
